About the Trainer
I am a life-long animal lover. After growing up training and showing horses, I made the leap to the dog world and began competing in dog agility in 2007. Over the years my dogs and I have earned a total of 19 Championship titles, have attended 7 National events, and made the finals 7 times. At AKC Nationals in 2017 I had two dogs win 3rd place in their respective divisions, followed later that year by winning the Medium Veteran division at NADAC Championships. My dogs compete and hold titles in AKC, NADAC, USDAA, TDAA, and UKI.
I believe in making training fun for the whole family. When it comes to training, play is work and work is play! I believe that incorporating toy or personal play into training helps to build a partnership with your dog. My training methods utilize reward-based methods which are scientifically proven to yield long-term results.
I have experience with a variety of breeds and enjoy the individual nuances that each team brings to the table. Whether your aspirations are to be a national contender in agility or to just have a well-behaved companion at home, together we can bring out the best in your dog.
I relocated to Cookeville, TN from Wisconsin in January of 2017 and am looking forward to bringing a fun and thriving agility program to the area.
